This range is E.C Choate & Co. own brand and used for all products we manufacture. With these products we plan to use as much Australian grown raw materials as possible; ie at least 50% or greater. The products contain no genetically modified ingredients or preservatives and additives. Although the company has been importing and packing our other brands for many years, Vegemeal is a recent addition to the companies range.At this stage the range consists of several dry mix savoury products. We have two styles of product in this range as follows.
The True Vegetarian Range is a savoury dry mix product which is designed to provide the basis of a cooked meal to which vegetables and salad can be added to make a complete meal, but does not try to look or taste like a meat product, which we feel a vegan or true vegetarian does not require. The products in this range have low saturated fat, and high protein content and are based on nuts, cereals and vegetable products. The other range is the Meat Evaders range for those people who wish to replace meat with a vegetarian product and so these products are made from cereals and vegetable but have a meaty like taste and texture and appearance of a meat product in the form of sausage, burgers and stew type products, but are completely meat free.
The True Vegetarian range (Vegetarian and Vegan) comprises:
Cashew Nut Savoury Bake Mix: a vegetarian baked savoury loaf made from cashew nuts, peanut flour, TVP(soya bean) and vegetable flavourings
Sesame and Sunflower Bake mix: a vegetarian baked savoury loaf made from Sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, TVP(soya) , and vegetables and herbs
A Macadamia Nut version is being developed, all are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, are quick and easy to prepare and can be made in the oven or microwave.
The Meat Evaders range (Vegetarian and Vegan) comprises:
Vegetable Burger Mix- Herb and Vegetable: to make vegetarian burgers and made from TVP(soya), cereals, vegetables and herbs.
Vegetable Sausage Mix- Herb: to make a sausage mix for frying in a pan or stuffing and made from TVP(soya), cereals, vegetables and herbs
Vegetable Sausage Mix -Spicy: as for herb version but containing spices for a spicy flavour.
A Pot meal containing TVP mince and vegetables to which it only needs water to be added and heated in a saucepan for a quick to prepare tasty vegetarian meal is being developed. and will be available shortly. These products all very tasty and and in a meat style but completely vegetarian.
Attached to the VEGEMEAL range are also two salt products
Lanes Herb Salt: (Vegetarian and Vegan) A savoury Herb Salt made from Sea Salt and Vegetable and Herb seasonings, which has been available in Australia for many years from the UK manufacturer, G.R Lane Health Products.
Gilbert's Biosalt: (Vegetarian and Vegan)A Biochemically balanced Mineral salt to be used as an alternative to normal table salt but designed as a better balance of salts than normal salt.

SYMINGTON'S Instant Dandelion Herbal Tea is a granulated form of Roasted Dandelion root . It has a very pleasant taste, quick to prepare and does not require a long boiling of the roasted root as is required by conventional ungranulated roasted root to extract the valuable soluble solids of Dandelion. It is an ideal caffeine free alternative beverage.. We recommend Symington's Dandelion is drunk as a perfect drink before bed or during the day when you crave that cup of tea or coffee as it takes no longer to prepare than a normal cup of instant coffee. New stocks of this product are now LACTOSE FREE, the product has been reformulated using dextrose and glucose instead of lactose but the Strength of Soluble Dandelion root has not changed and so the quality and beneficial effects of drinking Symington's remain the same with only a small change to taste and therefore those who are Lactose intolerant can also enjoy the benefits of drinking Symington's Dandelion as well. (Vegetarian and Vegan ).
This product is available in 100 grm, 250 grm, 500grm, single serve sachets and a 1 kg caterers pack. The 100 grm container is new style like the 500 grm which gives better moisture barrier and retention of the dandelion aroma and easier to open.

Vecon Concentrated Vegetable Stock is a smooth paste used for adding savoury flavour to vegetarian dishes. It contains no animal ingredients, no Genetically Modified raw materials, no added colours or flavourings but is gluten free and suitable for coeliacs. It is based on yeast and dehydrated vegetable powders and contains valuable added nutrients and B vitamins. Very useful for adding to soups, casseroles, pasta, rice, stir fries or as a savoury drink. To use dissolve a teaspoon in hot water.

Natex is a reduced salt savoury contain less than 1% salt(sodium) Most yeast extracts contain 3-12 % salt(sodium). It is a low fat food with added B vitamins including B12, delicious on toast or sandwiches. Natex contains no preservatives or additives or genetically modified raw materials.
Tartex Biobin is a animal product
free, vegetable thickener, for soups, stews, glazes and fruit gellies.
It is low in fat, high in fibre, gluten, lactose
and cholesterol free.
